Jon A. Pace
Global Health and Benefits Sales Leader
Jon is the Global Sales & Marketing Leader for the Health & Benefits line of business. He joined Mercer in 2006 from Marsh, where most recently he led the national Commercial Practice for the Consumer & Commercial businesses in the US. He has experience at Marsh as an office head (Norfolk & Baltimore), a Regional Client Executive Practice Leader (Southeastern & Southwestern, US) and as a Sales Leader. In addition, he has experience producing and servicing Private Equity clients for our PEMA group.
Jon's primary responsibilities include developing and executing a sustainable sales plan that enables us to achieve our new and expanded sales targets. He has responsibility for significantly strengthening our sales channel with Marsh, building our Sales Leadership and Sales Professional teams, as well as strengthening the sales productivity of our consultants. He monitors incentive compensation, recognition, sales learning programs as well as sales tracking, reporting and administrative systems to support a professional selling discipline within the firm.
In addition, as a member of the National Management Team, he works with our executive team to create client retention strategies that materially improve our annual retention rates & profitability and, therefore, augment our expanded business production. Jon also co-leads the Marketing Board within the Health & Benefits line of business that oversees the execution of the businesses various marketing activities in support of brand awareness and lead generation.
Jon graduated from Hampden-Sydney College with a bachelor of arts in Philosophy and Religion, and earned his Master's in Business Administration at Northwestern University's JL Kellogg School of Management.
